Like most artists, I've gone through various phases over the years.  For a while I had this idea to paint dancers with writing in the background.  I wrote whatever seemed interesting, from song lyrics to historical quotations.  Aubrey was my favorite.  The painting was in a monthly show at The Petersburg Regional Arts Center.  It didn't win any awards but an editor for the Times-Dispatch apparently liked it because he chose a picture of it for his write-up in the arts section that week.

Sadly, the rest of the world did not share my vision for the pretty girl with verses genre.
